Lamiae & Cyril's Wedding

Lamiae and Cyril had the fabulous idea of saying 'I do' at Château Luchey-Halde, on the same day as their 3-year anniversary as a couple. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, some of whom had travelled from Guadeloupe and Morocco, there was a great deal of emotion during the speeches, as some members of their respective families were unable to attend the wedding.

There was one speech that particularly moved me. It was from Cyril's grandmother, who unfortunately couldn't be there, so she sent a letter instead. There was a specific passage from the letter that really resonated with me and made me smile.

"Contrary to popular belief, Lamiae will not be your better half, but your equal within the couple. She will be entitled to the same happiness, the same tasks, the same rest and the same pleasures. Her parents have entrusted her to you to make her happy, so do it!"
